Sprinkler Backflow Testing & Installation

Serving Manalapan, Marlboro, Morganville & Freehold, NJ and surrounding areas

Backflow is defined as the unintentional reversal of the normal direction of flow in a potable water system that may result in the pollution or contamination of the system by a liquid, gas, solid or mixture.

Simply put, backflow is anywhere "bad water" has the chance to mix with "good water."

Lawn sprinkler backflow preventers must be tested when they are initially installed and when the property is sold. A backflow preventer is a mechanical device, and like any mechanical device, it will fail.

The plumbing code specifies that every backflow prevention device must be tested at least yearly to verify its operation. Failure to do so could allow a backflow event to harm people and/or property.

The backflow test is fairly simple. Every testable backflow device has test ports built into it to allow yearly testing. A backflow technician will connect a test kit to the device and verify proper operation. All water downstream of the backflow device must be shut off to perform the test.

All New Jersey towns require that the backflow preventer be tested twice - at the time of the original installation and when a house is sold.

We have been installing, testing, maintaining and certifying backflow devices since 2001. We insure potable (drinkable) water, protection and a fully functional system.

We will also assist with any township paperwork that may be required.

The NJ DEP requires the installation and testing of backflow prevention systems installed or water supply lines to protect the public from contamination by an unapproved water supply. To avoid DEP fines call for your free phone quote today at 732-972-9100.
